Heterologous Production of Acrylic Acid: Current Challenges and Perspectives
نویسندگان
چکیده
Acrylic acid (AA) is a chemical with high market value used in industry to produce diapers, paints, adhesives and coatings, among others. AA available worldwide chemically produced mostly from petroleum derivatives. Due its economic relevance, there presently need for innovative sustainable ways synthesize AA. In the past decade, several semi-biological methods have been developed consist bio-based synthesis of 3-hydroxypropionic (3-HP) conversion However, more recently, engineered Escherichia coli was demonstrated be able convert glucose or glycerol Several pathways that use as precursors glycerol, malonyl-CoA β-alanine. Some these 3-HP an intermediate. Nevertheless, heterologous production still early stages compared, example, production. So far, only up 237 mg/L using β-alanine precursor fed-batch fermentation. this review, advances by microbes, well hurdles hindering high-level production, are discussed. addition, synthetic biology metabolic engineering approaches improving industrial settings presented.

متن کاملDown Syndrome: Current Status, Challenges and Future Perspectives
Down syndrome (DS) is a birth defect with huge medical and social costs, caused by trisomy of whole or part of chromosome 21. It is the most prevalent genetic disease worldwide and the common genetic cause of intellectual disabilities appearing in about 1 in 400-1500 newborns. Although the syndrome had been described thousands of years before, it was named after John Langdon Down who described ...

متن کاملH1 histones: current perspectives and challenges
H1 and related linker histones are important both for maintenance of higher-order chromatin structure and for the regulation of gene expression. The biology of the linker histones is complex, as they are evolutionarily variable, exist in multiple isoforms and undergo a large variety of posttranslational modifications in their long, unstructured, NH2- and COOH-terminal tails. We review recent pr...

Poly-γ-glutamic acid (γ-PGA) is a naturally occurring biopolymer made from repeating units of l-glutamic acid, d-glutamic acid, or both. Since some bacteria are capable of vigorous γ-PGA biosynthesis from renewable biomass, γ-PGA is considered a promising bio-based chemical and is already widely used in the food, medical, and wastewater industries due to its biodegradable, non-toxic, and non-im...
